The Celer Gear Phone and RaceBox Car Mount is an all-in-one mounting solution designed to bring together a smartphone, RaceBox GPS receiver and vehicle mounting system in one compact setup. Designed especially for track use, it allows drivers to turn their smartphone into a real-time lap timing and telemetry display while keeping the GPS receiver securely integrated into the same system.

The mount attaches directly to the car windshield and brings the different components together without requiring a complex permanent installation. Several smartphone mounting methods are available depending on the selected option, including a Quad Lock compatible locking system. The RaceBox also has its own integrated mounting solution without requiring screws or adhesive.

This makes the system particularly suitable for track days, circuit driving, driver training and motorsport competition. The smartphone remains visible to the driver and acts as the live performance display, while the RaceBox GPS receiver collects the positioning and telemetry data required for accurate performance analysis.

Real-time lap timing and GPS telemetry on your smartphone

When combined with a RaceBox Mini, the mount provides access to a GPS system operating at 25 Hz, recording up to 25 positions every second and providing racing-line accuracy of approximately 30 cm. This level of detail helps drivers understand their performance and identify exactly where time is being gained or lost around a circuit.

During a session, the smartphone acts as the display for essential performance information, including lap times, real-time time delta and real-time speed delta. Drivers therefore receive immediate feedback without requiring an additional dedicated telemetry screen inside the car.

This data can be used to work on racing lines, braking, acceleration, corner speed and lap consistency. Every track session can therefore become a valuable source of information for understanding driving technique and improving lap times.

Lap analysis and track performance improvement

After each session, the data recorded by the RaceBox can be used for detailed lap and telemetry analysis. Drivers can compare individual laps, study their racing lines and identify the precise differences responsible for gains or losses in performance.

The system also makes it possible to compare laps and data with friends or other drivers, helping identify differences in racing lines, speed and driving technique. It therefore goes beyond simple lap timing and becomes a powerful tool for understanding how and where to improve on track.
